CELLTREAT Scientific Products has partnered with 3D Biotek, LLC to manufacture and supply multiple well cell culture plates with 3D Inserts for three dimensional cell and tissue culture. Porous polymer scaffolds engineered using 3D Biotek’s proprietary precision micro fabrication technology create a three dimensional cell culture environment more closely resembling in vivo cell growth conditions. Struts of each layer of the scaffolds are oriented 90° relative to the struts of the layer immediately below. 3D Insert technology provides a three dimensional cell culture environment with a total cell growth area that is significantly greater than that of a traditional 2D tissue culture platform for greater yields. Three dimensional 3D Insert scaffolds are available in polycaprolactone (PCL) and polystyrene (PS) polymers.

• The products are sterile and ready to use, no further preparation is needed.
• Seeding protocols are very similar to 2D cell culture techniques.
• 3D cells can be easily harvested using the same trypsin digestion protocol as in 2D cell culture.
• Unlike gel matrix, the 3D cell culture scaffold will not absorb cytokines or growth factors secreted by cultured cells during 3D culture and can be easily separated from culture medium.
